AUDITION NOTICE

The "Small Fry" division of Playhouse Youth Theatre kicks off the 2010-2011 season with the Grimm Brothers classic story of THE BREMEN TOWN MUSICIANS, adapted for the stage by Claudia Haas, and directed by veteran actress, director and instructor, Terri Wilkes. Auditions for the production take place Wednesday and Thursday, September 1 and 2 at 4:30 P.M.

The plot involves four woebegone animals - a donkey, a dog, a cat and a rooster, who form an acting troupe to perform the heartwarming tale about finding friendship, foiling a gang of robbers and arriving at a happy ending, all with the help of the audience, and a few simple costume pieces and simple props.

Director Wilkes is looking for a cast of males and females age 10 and up, and adults of all ages..Actors do NOT have to sing or play musical instruments, just be able to stomp their feet and clap their hands. Auditioners should bring a wallet size photo and will be asked to read from the script.

Rehearsals will take place from 4:30 - 6:00 P.M., and performances will be on Saturdays and Sundays only, October 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 2:30 P.M. in the theatre's Moyer Room. For further information, contact Patricia Fagan, Youth Theatre Director at (330) 788-8739.
